Irina Sergienko will speak at Ukrainian Gaming Congress

Irina is the director of the Law Firm "Fomin, Sergienko and partners" and for many years she has been engaged in betting business development. Speaker holds the position of CEO of All-Ukrainian Union on Bookmaking Development; she is also adviser of the Committee on Family, Youth and Sport of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, and works in interdepartmental working group engaged in considering and resolving problems connected with gaming business and lotteries.

Irina Sergienko is highly qualified lawyer with fifteen years experience in the industry. Her main specialization is legal support of gambling business operation, activities in IT and sports law. 

The major task of All-Ukrainian Union on Bookmaking Development is to promote establishment and development of bookmaking market in the country, turning it into significant sector of Ukrainian economy. The organization contributes to information support of bookmaking activities in Ukraine, its transparency and legalization, study of international experience and expertise to implement and legalize bookmaking.

Irina is sure with a probability of 70-75% that gambling business in Ukraine will be legalized before the end of next year. Indeed, in 2017 the government will not be willing to lose billions the industry can bring. The expert also emphasizes that legalization of gambling if possible if they will create optimal tax conditions. The system that exists today does not need to legitimize the industry, as no one would be willing to obtain license in present conditions.
